You can use Photivo for free on the platform of your choice to graphically express your creativity. Or to put it in other words, you can use the Photivo photo processor on Windows, Mac, or Linux to edit images. The application can handle RAW, BMP, JPEG, TIFF, PNG and other graphic formats and it does so in a non-destructive 16 bit processing pipe. Batch mode and Gimp integration is supported as well.

As mentioned above, Photivo is a cross-platform application – it is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. Getting the application up and running on a Windows-powered machine is a standard process that goes along smoothly and does not pose a problem. You need only download an executable, run it, then go through the steps presented to you by a setup wizard.

You will immediately feel at home with the dark-themed Photivo interface. There’s nothing complicated about it: the image you load takes up the better part of the screen; to the left you have buttons for all the editing functions Photivo has to offer. It’s very easy to use the interface and thus access all the functionality Photivo has to offer.

Speaking about functionality, here’s a quick look at the application’s main features: provides support for RAW and bitmap files, numerous editing functions, batch processing, Gimp workflow integration, support for multiple languages. You will be able to load just about any image file you can think of and then extensively edit it with the Photivo application – and you won’t have to part with your money to be able to access such functionality. As mentioned above, Photivo is a free and open source application.

You won’t go wrong by choosing Photivo to process RAW and bitmap files.

Pros

Photivo is available for multiple platforms: Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The application’s interface is intuitive and easy to figure out. Photivo puts a lot of editing functionality at your fingertips. Photivo is free and open source.

Cons

None that I could think of.
